What gear do Assassins wear in each slot?
Most geared Assassins wear Vakron or Nuakum armor, almost evenly split, and the same “everyone has one” accessories: the Noble Belt, Revelation Amulet, Ascension Bracelet and Clash Rune. The cards below show the three most common items in each slot across 287 Global Assassin characters with gear data on questlog.gg, checked on 2026-10-09.

Item levels from the game data: Bakarma armor and Berk jewelry are 54, Vakron and Aulamus 70, and Nuakum, Enraged Kromede and Abyssal pieces 86. Bracelet shares add up to more than 100% because you wear two. Bakarma, at item level 54, is the odd one out; l4z4i’s notes place it in the early crafted route covered below.
Which dagger should an Assassin use?
Use a crafted Dragon Lord dagger when you can, and an Enraged Kromede Silver Dagger if you are not crafting. Every dagger has the same base reach (1m), so the real differences are item level and the number of soul binding lines. The chart compares the daggers Assassins actually use, from the item data on questlog.gg:
- Kromede Silver Dagger Item level 43Required level 37 · +2m range · 3 stat / 3 skill lines
- Spiritforged Dagger Item level 45Required level 1 · no soul binding lines
- Fallen Ancient God Dagger Item level 46Required level 40 · 4 stat / 4 skill lines
- True / Star Dragon Lord Dagger Item level 62Required level 45 · 5 stat / 5 skill lines
- Aulamus Dagger Item level 70Required level 45 · 4 stat / 4 skill lines
- Enraged Kromede Silver Dagger Item level 86Required level 45 · +2m range · 3 stat / 3 skill lines
- Abyssal Dagger Item level 86Required level 45 · 4 stat / 4 skill lines
- Splendent Wise / Ebony Dragon Lord Dagger Item level 102Required level 45 · 5 stat / 5 skill lines
- Ludra’s Claw Item level 102Required level 45 · +2m range · 3 stat / 3 skill lines
The Spiritforged Dagger is the quest dagger, which is why it still tops the usage numbers; it has no soul binding lines at all. The Kromede daggers and Ludra’s Claw add 2m of attack range but roll only three lines of each kind. Every Dragon Lord dagger rolls five, so even the item level 62 version has more lines than the Enraged Kromede. j0ei’s first published set opens with the Fallen Ancient God Dagger, a low item level dagger that still rolls four lines of each kind.
Crafted or dungeon gear: which route should an Assassin take?
The public builds show two routes to the same endgame. Pick the one that matches how you play:
- Dungeon route. teivor publishes a set labelled “no crafting, only dungeons”: the Enraged Kromede Silver Dagger, Nuakum armor and Enraged Kromede jewelry, all at +10. His raid target set swaps the dagger for Ludra’s Claw (item level 102) and the bracelets for Abyssal ones.
- Crafted route. l4z4i’s notes describe it step by step. Early in the endgame he crafts a Splendent Star Dragon Lord dagger, guard and rings, and wears Bakarma armor with Berk accessories. In the mid game he upgrades those crafted pieces through Transfer Crafting to Splendent Dark Dragon Lord (+18) and adds crafted armor. His late set is full Splendent Ebony Dragon Lord at +20, which he calls aspirational until Mythic gear arrives.
Crafted Dragon Lord gear is faction-specific. Elyos craft True, White and Wise pieces; Asmodians craft Star, Dark and Ebony pieces. Each tier also has a Splendent version, and the two ladders share the same item levels, from 62 (True / Star) to 102 (Splendent Wise / Splendent Ebony).
Two smaller tips from l4z4i’s notes: he upgrades the Noble Belt and Revelation Amulet through Silent Dungeons and Substance Morph, and his campaign sets for Acts 1 to 6 use quest items only, without Expedition chests or Odyle Energy.
How does the most-liked Assassin upgrade gear?
s0nderr_, whose “1900 (Transcendence S2)” build is the most-liked Assassin character build on questlog.gg (73 likes on 2026-10-09), labels each gear set by the gear score it is built for:
| Set (s0nderr_’s label) | Dagger and guard | Armor | Jewelry |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1900 (Transcendence S2) | Star Dragon Lord Dagger and Guard +16 | Bakarma +10 | Berk necklace and earrings +12, Star Dragon Lord Rings +12 |
| 2100 (T3) | Star Dragon Lord Dagger and Bakarma Guard +16 | Bakarma +10 | Berk necklace and earrings +16, Star Dragon Lord Rings +12 |
| 2100–2400 (T3+) | Enraged Kromede Silver Dagger and Nuakum Guard +10 | Nuakum +10 | Abyssal necklace, earrings and rings +10 |
| 2800+ (“Ludra Ready”) | Dark Dragon Lord Dagger and Guard +17 | Nuakum +10 | Enraged Kromede necklace, earrings and rings +17 |
Every set keeps the Ascension and Liberator Bracelets and five Vigor Arcana cards. Two patterns stand out. His two sets around 2,100 are the two routes side by side, one crafted and one from dungeons. And his armor never goes past Nuakum +10, even in the 2,800+ set: the upgrades go into the dagger, guard and jewelry.
j0ei, whose Assassin character build is the second most-liked (25 likes), takes the dungeon route first and crafts later. His sets run from the Fallen Ancient God Dagger with Vakron armor and Berk jewelry, to a full Enraged Kromede and Nuakum set, to a Splendent True Dragon Lord set, and finally full Splendent Wise Dragon Lord at +20.
Which soul binding lines should an Assassin roll?
j0ei’s fully upgraded Splendent Wise Dragon Lord set is the most complete example in the public builds: every piece has its lines filled in. Skill lines raise a skill’s level; stat lines add the stat shown.
| Slot | Stat lines (j0ei) | Skill lines (j0ei) |
|---|---|---|
| Dagger and guard | Combat Speed, Weapon Damage Boost, Multi-hit Chance, Might, Precision | — |
| Cloak and helm | Attack, Double Chance, Attack increase | Rear Smite, Assault Stance |
| Pauldrons | Attack, Critical Damage Boost, Double Chance | Rear Smite, Assault Stance |
| Breastplate | Attack, Damage Boost, Accuracy | Rear Smite, Assault Stance |
| Greaves | Attack, Perfect Chance, Attack increase | Rear Smite, Assault Stance |
| Gloves | Combat Speed, Attack, Perfect Chance | Rear Smite, Assault Stance |
| Boots | Attack, Perfect Chance | Rear Smite, Assault Stance, Exploit Weakness |
| Necklace | Combat Speed, Might, Precision | Rear Smite, Exploit Weakness |
| Earrings | Might, Precision | Rear Smite, Assault Stance, Exploit Weakness |
| Rings | Might, Precision | Heart Gore, Insignia Explosion, Quick Slice |
| Bracelets | Time, Destruction, Wisdom, Illusion | — |
The pattern follows the build. Rings carry your three core skills, which is how Heart Gore, Insignia Explosion and Quick Slice get past the level 14 that skill points and Daevanion boards give you. Armor and jewelry carry the key passives, Rear Smite, Assault Stance and Exploit Weakness. l4z4i’s mid-game set follows the same split, with Insignia Explosion, Quick Slice, Heart Gore and Savage Roar on his rings.
The Attack increase lines matter more than they look. Nellan97 points out that Global gear gives you plenty of flat Attack but very little percentage Attack, which makes every percentage source valuable. He also estimates that 10% more Combat Speed adds about 5% damage. Combat Speed appears on j0ei’s dagger, guard, gloves and necklace.

Primal Vigor or Magic Armor: which Arcana set?
Primal Vigor, the set made of the five Vigor cards. The two Arcana sets have very different bonuses in the item data:
| Set | 2 cards | 4 cards |
|---|---|---|
| Primal Vigor (Vigor cards) | +60 PvE Attack while HP is 70% or more | +150 PvE Attack while HP is 70% or more |
| Magic Armor (Magic cards) | Restores 1,500 MP when MP drops to 20% or less (30s cooldown) | +1,000 PvE Defense while MP is 50% or more |
s0nderr_ and l4z4i run all five Vigor cards. The full bonus only needs four, though, so teivor (in his target sets) and alan218 put a Magic card in the fifth slot. That choice changes which divine stat the card gives (+20 at top grade, plus 1 per enhancement level):
| Card | Vigor version gives | Magic version gives |
|---|---|---|
| Chalice | Time | Space |
| Parchment | Life | Destiny |
| Compass | Freedom | Death |
| Bell | Justice | Destruction |
| Mirror | Illusion | Wisdom |
teivor’s fifth card is the Compass of Magic, for Death, and alan218’s is the Bell of Magic, for Destruction. J0EI, explaining divine stats in his Ranger masterclass, describes Death as Critical Hit and Destruction as more damage; Time adds Combat Speed and Illusion Cooldown Reduction, both of which come with the Vigor set.
Arcana cards also roll skill lines, and the Parchment matters most for an Assassin. delcatta names it, together with ring lines, as the way to get Heart Gore, Insignia Explosion and Quick Slice to 16, and his Parchment carries those three skills, plus Shadow Fall. alan218’s Chalice of Vigor carries Insignia Explosion, Heart Gore and Savage Roar.
