FAQ

What item level do you need for AION 2 Transcendence?
1,600 for stage 1, then 1,900, 2,200 and 2,500 for stages 2 to 4, in both Deus Research Base and Shattered Arkanis, according to MetaBot’s reading of the Global client. Character level 45 is required too.
What does Transcendence drop?
Every clear pays Kina (100,000 at stage 1 up to 160,000 at stage 4), 10 Silentium, Soul Codex, Enhance Stones and Amplify Stone Fragments, plus Arcana cards. Deus Research Base drops the Chalice, Compass and Bell, Shattered Arkanis the Chalice, Parchment and Mirror; gold cards start at stage 3.
How does Transcendence scoring work?
MetaBot says results depend on how fast you kill the boss and whether you die, and that Rank Points earned over the season decide the seasonal rewards. NC ranks the points per server and per class, under ESC, Transcendence, Rank, Class. NoBS Game Guides adds that faster clears give better rewards, so groups split up to unlock the teleports while the rest clears the monsters.
Which Transcendence dungeons are in Season 1?
Deus Research Base and Shattered Arkanis, from 30 September to 16 December 2026 in the Global client schedule MetaBot reads. Season 2 adds Submerged Life Temple and Season 3 Mirror of Scarlet Desire; those dates may change with patches.
How many Transcendence runs do you get?
MetaBot reads a Transcendent Dungeon reward count that refills by 1 every 12 hours, up to 14, and a final-boss kill count of 28 a week. Each reward cube costs 40 Odyle Energy in the game data.
What changes in Transcendence stage 4?
Deus Research Base adds Judgment, a stacking debuff from boss hits that explodes, and the final boss needs 150 points to open. Shattered Arkanis adds Tolerance, which makes bosses harder to stagger, needs 170 points, and gives Talisra moving fire pillars, according to MetaBot, Player Ay and AzuriteTV.
Do Transcendence Rank Points transfer with a server transfer?
Yes. NC’s server transfer Q&A says your Season Rank Points for Transcendence, Nightmare, Ascension Trial, Abyss and Arena move to the destination server with the character and are removed from the old server.

What is Transcendence in AION 2?

A seasonal, timed dungeon for up to five players, in four stages that get harder each time. Season 1, from 30 September to 16 December 2026 in the Global client schedule MetaBot reads, has two Transcendence dungeons: Deus Research Base and Shattered Arkanis. Later seasons add harder dungeons, as the table at the end of this section shows.

Stage Item level Boss level Kina per clear Stage affixes, Deus Research Base Stage affixes, Shattered Arkanis
1 1,600 56 100,000 None None
2 1,900 60 120,000 Balance Poison Blood
3 2,200 64 140,000 Balance, Wrath Poison Blood, Elevation
4 2,500 68 160,000 Balance, Wrath, Judgment Poison Blood, Elevation, Tolerance

Item levels and affixes come from MetaBot’s reading of the Global client; boss levels and Kina from questlog.gg’s game data. Both need character level 45, and the game data recommends 2 to 5 players. MetaBot sums up the scoring: your result depends on how fast you kill the boss and finish without dying, and the Rank Points you earn over the season decide the seasonal rewards.

The season schedule in the Global client, as MetaBot reads it; NC can move these dates with patches:

Season Dates Dungeons
1 30 September – 16 December 2026 Deus Research Base, Shattered Arkanis
2 16 December 2026 – 10 March 2027 Both, plus Submerged Life Temple (item level 2,400–3,500)
3 10 March – 2 June 2027 All three, plus Mirror of Scarlet Desire (item level 3,200–4,000)
4 2 June – 25 August 2027 Deus Research Base, Shattered Arkanis

A fifth dungeon, Abyssal Horn Den (item level 3,800–4,800), is in the client data but not on the schedule yet.

What do Transcendence stages drop?

The same base rewards at every stage, more Kina and better Arcana as you go up. Every reward cube costs 40 Odyle Energy and holds, in the game data:

Reward Stage 1 Stage 2 Stage 3 Stage 4
Kina 100,000 120,000 140,000 160,000
Silentium (Bound) 10 10 10 10
Soul Codex (Bound) 1–2 1–2 1–2 1–2
Enhance Stone 2,000 2,000 2,000 2,000
Amplify Stone Fragment (Unique), 48.8% 1–7 1–8 1–10 1–12
Lesser Manastone and Soulstone 1 each, 43.3% 2 each, 43.3% 3 each, 35.7% 4 each, 35.7%
Intermediate Manastone and Soulstone — — 1 each, 9.7% 1 each, 9.7%
Best Arcana grade Rare Legend Unique (gold) Unique (gold)

Arcana are the reason to run it. Deus Research Base drops the Chalice, Compass and Bell; Shattered Arkanis the Chalice, Parchment and Mirror. Gold cards drop from stage 3 (4.9% per card version) and stage 4 (17.8%, or 12.1% for the Chalice). The full drop table, the two sets and how to craft a gold card are in our AION 2 Arcana guide. Until the Halloween event ends on 3–4 November, each cube also holds 3 Candy Key Fragments; see our Halloween event guide.

How many Transcendence runs do you get?

A reward count that refills every 12 hours. MetaBot reads these counters from the Global client: a Transcendent Dungeon reward count of +1 every 12 hours, up to 14; a final-boss kill count of 28 a week; and separate Deus Research Base and Shattered Arkanis reward counts of 2 a day, up to 4 each. Fextralife adds that Transcendence also uses the weekly cube count it shares with Conquest expeditions, which our expeditions page explains. The weekly reset is on Wednesday; the time in your zone is on our AION 2 reset time page.

How do Transcendence rankings work?

Clears earn Rank Points, ranked per server and per class. NC’s launch events notice says you check your place under ESC, Transcendence, Rank, Class. Its launch leaderboard ran in Deus Research Base and Shattered Arkanis from 5 October to 2 November (from 30 September on the early access servers):

Place on your server and class Rewards
Top 10 35,000 Enhance Stones, 30 Amplify Stones (Unique), 1 Philosopher’s Stone: Revelation, 5 Soul Codex: Reset, 20 Resurrection Spiritstones (Bound)
11 to 50 12,000 Enhance Stones, 15 Amplify Stones (Unique), 3 Soul Codex: Reset, 10 Resurrection Spiritstones (Bound)

NC announces the top rankers on 9 November and mails the rewards by 16 November. Outside that event, the Rank Points you earn over the season decide the seasonal rewards, in MetaBot’s reading of the client. If you transfer servers, your Transcendence Rank Points move with the character, according to NC’s server transfer Q&A.

How do you clear Transcendence fast?

Split up: one player opens the teleports while the rest clears the monsters that unlock the last boss. NoBS Game Guides explains the routine in both dungeons: the final boss only opens once the group has killed enough monsters, and clearing faster earns better rewards. One player runs ahead to unlock the teleport stones (Kibelisks) near the later bosses while the other four farm monsters near the entrance and the first boss; in his Shattered Arkanis runs about 40 kills were enough before both teleports were open. After each boss you teleport straight to the next one. In Deus Research Base he shows a balcony jump that shortens the runner’s route.

How many monsters to kill depends on the stage. Each monster is worth 2 points and each of the first two bosses 45, and the final boss opens at a set total. Player Ay counts 110 points at stage 1 of Deus Research Base and 150 at stage 4, so 10 and 30 monster kills on top of the two bosses. In Shattered Arkanis, AzuriteTV counts 120 points at stages 1 and 2, 150 at stage 3 and 170 at stage 4: 15, 30 and 40 kills. At stage 4 he clears everything up to the first boss and the room after it before taking the wind stream to the second boss.

How do you beat Deus Research Base?

Bait Gelcos’ dashes out of the arena, move Nazmun away from the lasers, and break Atiel’s tether and guard. From NoBS Game Guides’ Deus Research Base guide (2026-10-06):

  1. Gelcos marks a player and dashes at them, knocking them down, then slams an area that leaves a permanent electric field; he dashes and slams twice more at the same player. The marked player dodges each dash and baits each slam away from the centre of the arena. His basic attacks cleave in front, so stay behind him unless you tank. When he pulls everyone in and starts whipping, move behind him; when he fills the arena with a vortex, run away from him.
  2. Nazmun opens with four lasers circling the arena: the tank drags the boss to the far end, where at most one laser reaches. The tank blocks or dodges her three-hit line attack, and players marked with a time bomb move away from the group.
  3. Atiel grabs a player and smashes them down, which you dodge. When he pulls everyone in, he tethers the tank to other players: run apart to break the tether, which keeps hurting both until it breaks, then dash back and stack on the player he targets to share the hit; shields and potions help. His waves advance one step at a time and push you off the arena, so move left and right without falling. At Morphic World, keep hitting him as you circle him: you have 10 seconds to break his guard, or the group wipes.

How do you beat Shattered Arkanis?

Cross the chakrams, stay off the door at the second boss, and read Talisra’s colours. From NoBS Game Guides’ Shattered Arkanis guide (2026-10-05), which covers stage 1:

  1. Siliator of Deceit marks two players with a red line and sends a chakram after each; the two cross paths so the chakrams hit each other, best in an X shape, because a chakram that hits a player is nearly fatal. When it throws chakrams at everyone and recalls them, stack and move the same way, keeping a dodge in reserve. Carry the big red circle away from the group, and get behind it before its frontal strike and the donut that follows.
  2. Ruthilis of Pain opens with a huge one-shot area aimed at the arena door, so start the fight away from the door. It jumps on the furthest player with a donut area; when the arena glows red, stand under it. A player hit by lightning gets a ring that explodes shortly after: jump the blast.
  3. Talisra of the Void has a deadly cone, easier to dodge close to her, and an arena-wide attack you jump twice. At Cast Fall she raises four pillars and calls one out, for example “White Spear, condemn my enemies”: destroy that pillar, or the whole group takes a huge hit, while a ranged player stands far away to bait her jump. Run from the beam that follows the player with the big circle. For her hardest mechanic, everyone collects orbs of one colour, agreed before the pull, which leave white or purple barriers; then watch her staff light up in a sequence and stand in the barrier of each colour in turn.

What do the Transcendence stage affixes do?

Each stage from 2 to 4 adds one affix, and they stack. The effects, in MetaBot’s reading of the Global client; Player Ay and AzuriteTV describe the same effects in their runs:

Affix Dungeon, stages Effect
Poison Blood Shattered Arkanis, 2 to 4 Elite monsters leave a pool when they die that heals monsters and damages players over time
Elevation Shattered Arkanis, 3 and 4 A monster that dies makes the monsters around it deal more damage
Tolerance Shattered Arkanis, 4 Bosses get a larger Stagger gauge, so they are harder to stagger
Balance Deus Research Base, 2 to 4 Elite monsters leave a zone when they die that raises monsters’ damage
Wrath Deus Research Base, 3 and 4 Monsters gain a damage boost at 50% HP or below
Judgment Deus Research Base, 4 Boss hits stack a debuff that explodes once it builds up

AzuriteTV’s advice for Poison Blood is simply not to stand in the pools, and Player Ay’s for Judgment not to take too many hits during a boss fight.

What changes in higher Transcendence stages?

Each stage adds an affix and more monsters to kill, and from stage 3 the route gets hazards and the final bosses new mechanics.

Deus Research Base, stages 3 and 4

Player Ay calls Deus Research Base far less mechanic-heavy than Shattered Arkanis: every boss turns into a damage race. His all-stages Deus Research Base guide (2026-10-19) adds:

  • The route: at higher stages, soul binders along the path fire a slowing chain at anyone who walks too close, linking them to teammates; spread out to break it. After Gelcos, a shortcut behind a crate saves the walk around to the right; jump the laser hidden in the light at its end.
  • Gelcos: stand at the edge of the arena when he targets you, so his electric fields land out of the way. His triple whip slam goes right, left, then centre, so stay on a side he has already hit. At 60% and 30% health he jumps to the centre: step out of the close slam, then straight back in under the long-range explosion.
  • Nazmun: at 60% health he marks the tank with an area that explodes, and from 30% one more player; move away from the group when marked.
  • Atiel: from stage 3 he tethers everyone to the tank, so everyone spreads away from the tank, and a second tether pulls everyone to him, so stay close or take damage and a slow. When he lands on a player, the tank, spread far out, can reach the stack with Poach. At 60% and 30% health he sends five waves that push you back, then destroys the outer ring of the arena; anyone who fell off cannot be revived. He ends on a stagger check: keep hitting him as you circle, or the group wipes.

Shattered Arkanis, stages 3 and 4

Player Ay’s all-stages Shattered Arkanis guide (2026-10-14) and AzuriteTV’s stages 1–4 guide (2026-10-23) cover the higher stages:

  • Stages 1 and 2 are almost the same; stage 2’s Poison Blood makes elite monsters drop poison pools.
  • Stage 3 adds Elevation, raises the number of monsters to kill, and puts stationary traps on the route that damage and stun anyone who walks into them. Talisra of the Void gets a new mechanic: a player is trapped in a crystal, and the others each guide their one spear into it to free them, without crossing anyone else’s.
  • Stage 4 adds Tolerance, so bosses are harder to stagger, and revolving door-like traps on the way to the second boss; AzuriteTV dodges through them at their innermost point. Talisra can now teleport to a player and raise pillars of fire that move around the arena while she keeps using her other attacks.

He adds detail to each Shattered Arkanis boss. Siliator of Deceit is the easiest: get behind her frontal cone and the circle that follows; when she calls “Death shall follow you”, the two chased players must keep their chakrams lined up, because if one dies the chakram jumps to someone else; a player marked with an eye runs from the team, since her chakram bounces between everyone in the circle; and at 60% and 30% health she throws chakrams at the whole party and then pulls a ring of discs back in, which you avoid from medium range by moving into the gaps. Ruthilis of Pain seals another quarter of the arena with electricity at each health step, clockwise; stand close to him before his arena-wide blast, avoid the falling scythes marked by orange rectangles from about 50% health, and if one of his four tracking lightning pillars hits you, move away so your team can jump the wave. Talisra of the Void never repeats an attack except her basic swing, so you can predict her: her dash and teleport target whoever is not top threat, and her line of projectiles fires three times with one more line each time. For her orb mechanic, at 60% and again later with three colours, he wants two players on each colour, because overlapping barriers disappear.

AzuriteTV adds three details. Ruthilis opens with a fan-shaped blast across the entrance and repeats it through the fight, each one leaving a deadly zone; on the fourth, the first zone disappears and opens a new safe spot. Talisra’s orbs give her a permanent damage stack if they reach her, and a player who collects both colours is stunned and explodes, so agree on two players per colour and a fifth to fill in. On her last health bar she pulses her spear three times instead of twice, always using both colours in a random order, so you may switch barriers on every hit.
