AION 2 Cleric Macro: Best PvE & PvP Macro, Chains and Why Condemnation Loops

What is the best Cleric macro in AION 2?

MrRosaPony’s five-chain macro, the one most Clerics already use. It belongs to the most-liked Cleric skill build on questlog.gg (139 likes), and 173 of the 537 public Global Cleric builds with a macro (32%) copy all five chains exactly. In the order they appear in his macro:

You start the fight by toggling Light of Protection by hand, then hold the macro. MrRosaPony describes the result: the macro debuffs the enemy and buffs you, then keeps spamming your two main damage skills, Condemnation and Judgment Thunder.

The wider numbers follow the same shape. Cleric macros are built from short chains: Judgment Thunder is a step on its own in 49% of public Cleric macros, Divine Aura in 39%, Chain of Torment → Condemnation in 37% and Debilitating Mark in 36%. Why does the macro keep firing Condemnation?

Because Condemnation resets itself on an Earth Punishment target. Two specializations combine in the client data:

• Earth Punishment, stigma level 5: Condemnation always lands as a Critical Hit on targets afflicted with Earth Punishment.
• Condemnation, skill level 12: its cooldown resets whenever it lands a Critical Hit.

Together, Condemnation is ready again after every cast while Earth Punishment is on the target, so the macro returns to it over and over. The public builds are set up for exactly this: 90% of Cleric builds with a macro take Condemnation’s reset option, and 88% also have Earth Punishment on the bar at stigma level 5 or higher. whelps’ build notes put Earth Punishment to level 20 first, and at level 20 it lasts 10 seconds longer.

Th3Ruthless takes the idea furthest. His macro has ten steps, and eight of them are his Condemnation chain, Light of Regeneration → Prayer of Amplification → Chain of Torment → Condemnation; the other two are Earth Punishment → Divine Aura → Debilitating Mark → Judgment Thunder. In his macro guide, he explains that Condemnation is the skill you want most while Earth Punishment is up, and that the other orders he tested lost damage.

How do the top Cleric macros compare?

The most-liked Cleric macros on questlog.gg use the same skills in different chains. Likes were checked on 2026-10-26.

marx0310’s late-game build rebuilds the chains around Prayer of Amplification → Earth Punishment → Condemnation → Chain of Torment; since its 2026-10-18 update that is the only chain in its macro, where on 2026-10-14 it also had Light of Regeneration → Healing Light and Earth’s Retribution. Th3Ruthless publishes his macro for groups with and without a Chanter, and both use the same chains.

What should you keep out of the Cleric macro?

Heals, Bolt, Lightning Strike Scattershot and Light of Protection. MrRosaPony gives the reasons in his build notes:

• Heals should never be in the macro and should always be pressed on their own, because they lower your damage. If you want the convenience, you can add your spam-heal key to the macro, but he calls that suboptimal.
• Bolt is only worth casting when you need burst. In raw damage parses it is worse than the macro. In the client data it is a charge skill with three charge levels, and a macro releases charge skills at once.
• Lightning Strike Scattershot is a bait: it deals less damage than the macro.
• Light of Protection is toggled on by hand before you start.

Should you hold left click with the macro?

While your MP is short, yes; later, the macro alone does more. Earth’s Retribution, your basic attack, restores 110 MP per hit in the client data. MrRosaPony holds it with the macro in the early game, when you run low on mana, and finds the macro alone deals more damage once your mana problems are solved. r0no gives the same advice in his public build: hold left click until you have good uptime on Earth Punishment.

Earth’s Retribution has one more reason to stay on left click: from skill level 12, its Discharge follow-up cuts 7 seconds off Bolt’s cooldown. 12% of public Cleric macros include Earth’s Retribution as a step anyway, as marx0310’s early build does.

What is the best Cleric PvP macro?

A short macro, with your debuffs pressed by hand. MrRosaPony’s PvP build runs only three steps: Chain of Torment → Condemnation → Healing Light, Judgment Thunder and Light of Regeneration. His notes explain the rest:

• Keep Light of Protection toggled on, as in PvE.
• Press Debilitating Mark, Earth Punishment and Voice of Doom by hand when the enemy’s cleanse skills are on cooldown. Use the weaker debuffs to bait out the cleanse, then Earth Punishment to guarantee the Condemnation spam, and Voice of Doom so the enemy cannot heal through your damage.
• Time Defiance to swing a fight when you are crowd-controlled, and track the enemy’s crowd-control cooldowns.
• Save Salvation as your emergency button: at stigma level 5 it doubles incoming healing, enough to get back to full health.

The public PvP builds follow him. Of the 78 Cleric builds named for PvP that have a macro, 77 include Judgment Thunder and 50 use his Chain of Torment → Condemnation → Healing Light chain.

What delay should a Cleric macro use?
