FAQ
How many Daevanion boards does the Spiritmaster have?
Five. Nezekan unlocks at character level 12, Zikel at 20, Vaizel at 30, Triniel at 40 and Azphel at 45. The first four raise your skills and general stats; Azphel holds PvP and status-effect nodes only.
How many points does it take to fill the Spiritmaster boards?
570 points for the four PvE boards: 134 each for Nezekan, Zikel and Vaizel, and 168 for Triniel. Azphel needs another 232, but the planner data charges it in a separate point type, so it never takes points from the PvE boards.
Which board has the Spiritmaster’s best passives?
Nezekan. It holds two nodes each for Spirit Strike, Spirit’s Descent, Spirit Revitalization, Corrode and Spirit Protection, including Spirit Strike, the passive every creator we checked levels first. Zikel holds two each for Mental Focus, Element Unification, Revitalization Contract, Spirit Communion and Consecutive Countercurrent.
What should a Spiritmaster put on the board first?
The skill nodes for Combustion, Elemental Fusion and the Fire Spirit. Grobs’s 60-point leveling board gives those three +2 and Cold Shock and Dimensional Control +1, plus a Cooldown Reduction corner on Nezekan and a Damage Boost corner on Zikel. aLuckyRO opens the Combat Speed lane on Nezekan first.
Should a Spiritmaster take the Critical Damage nodes?
Not early, says aLuckyRO: in his test, auto attacks landed one critical hit in 44, so Critical Damage Boost has almost nothing to work with until your Critical Hit is much higher. Grobs’s 290-point board takes both Critical Damage Boost corners on Vaizel but skips the defensive corners.
What do Daevanion nodes cost, and can you reset them?
Common stat nodes cost 1 point, passive skill nodes 2, active skill nodes 3 and the large stat nodes 4. A node only becomes available once it connects back to the start of its board. Every node in the planner data lists a reset cost of 500, and aLuckyRO reminds you that you will fill the whole board eventually anyway.
What is the best Spiritmaster Daevanion build for PvE?
Spend your points on the skill nodes for Combustion, Elemental Fusion, the Fire Spirit, Cold Shock and Dimensional Control on every PvE board, add Spirit Strike, and pick up the Combat Speed, Cooldown Reduction and Damage Boost corners as your paths reach them. Leave Azphel for PvP.
Grobs, whose Spiritmaster builds are among the most-liked on questlog.gg, published a 290-point level 45 board that does exactly that:

The result is +4 levels on Combustion, Elemental Fusion, the Fire Spirit, Cold Shock, Dimensional Control and the Earth Spirit, +3 on the Water Spirit and +2 on Jointstrike: Curse. Spirit Strike, Spirit Revitalization and Element Unification reach +4. The corners add +3% each to Combat Speed, Cooldown Reduction, Damage Boost and Critical Damage Boost, and +4.5% Multi-Hit Chance; the board takes none of the defensive corners. To see how those levels feed the rotation, read the Spiritmaster PvE build.

How are the Spiritmaster’s Daevanion boards laid out?
Each PvE board has one node for every active skill, and the passives are split between the first two boards. Nezekan and Zikel each hold two nodes for five of the ten passives; Vaizel and Triniel add one node to all of them. For the Spiritmaster, that split lands like this:
Nezekan holds the passive the creators rank first, Spirit Strike, as well as Spirit’s Descent and Spirit Revitalization, so it is where Grobs spends the most points. Zikel holds the double nodes for Element Unification, which Hemi, Tsuruf and OneTimeACraft level next, and Mental Focus, which the creators disagree about: aLuckyRO calls it a PvP passive, while init.rb’s board gives it +4.
The filler nodes are the same on every PvE board: +3 Attack, +5 Critical Hit, +5 Critical Hit Resist, +30 Defense, +100 Max HP or +50 Max MP for 1 point each. Passive skill nodes cost 2, active skill nodes 3 and the large stat nodes 4. You can only take a node once it connects back to the start of its board, and every node lists a reset cost of 500 in the planner data.
Which Daevanion nodes should a Spiritmaster take first?
The core skills, routed through the damage corners. The creators agree on the skills and differ on which corners are worth it early:
Grobs: his 60-point leveling board goes straight for Combustion, Elemental Fusion and the Fire Spirit, two nodes each, plus Cold Shock, Dimensional Control and Spirit’s Descent. It takes one Cooldown Reduction corner on Nezekan and one Damage Boost corner on Zikel, and leaves Triniel empty.
aLuckyRO: finish the Combat Speed lane on Nezekan first, then take the priority skills closest to that lane, such as Combustion, Elemental Fusion, Cold Shock and Spirit Strike. On Zikel, take Damage Boost. Skip the Critical Damage Boost lines early: in his test, 44 auto attacks landed a single critical hit, so the bonus has almost nothing to work with. He also uses the board to reach level 12 options early, because a skill node near your path can be cheaper than the skill points for the same level.
OneTimeACraft: max out your core skills on the board first; gear and Arcana cards add levels later.
Each active skill has one node per PvE board, four in all, and aLuckyRO’s advice is to reach the near ones first and save points while they are scarce: you will fill the boards eventually.

How does init.rb’s level 45 board differ?
init.rb, the author of the most-liked Spiritmaster PvE build, published a 312-point PvE board for a character that has finished every quest, with 36 more points on Azphel. Compared with Grobs’s board, it:
gives Jointstrike: Curse +4 and Rapid Scattershot +3, where Grobs’s board gives Curse +2 and Rapid Scattershot nothing;
gives Mental Focus +4, with both of Zikel’s double nodes, and only +2 to Dimensional Control and the Water Spirit;
takes one Damage Tolerance and one Critical Damage Tolerance corner as well as the damage corners.
Both boards take Combat Speed, Cooldown Reduction, Damage Boost, Critical Damage Boost and all three Multi-Hit Chance corners, and both bring Combustion, Elemental Fusion, the Fire Spirit and Cold Shock to +4.
How far can the boards take a Spiritmaster skill?
To level 14. Skill points stop at 10, and each of the four PvE boards has exactly one node per active skill, so a full set adds +4. The rest comes from skill lines on gear and Arcana cards: OneTimeACraft already had +3 on a passive from gear. init.rb’s late-game Variant 1 build has Combustion and Elemental Fusion at 20, so six levels have to come from beyond the boards. The Spiritmaster PvE build lists what the level 12 and 16 options do.

Does Azphel matter for a PvE Spiritmaster?
No. Azphel has no skill nodes and no PvE damage nodes: its corners are PvP Damage Boost and PvP Damage Tolerance, and its other nodes are PvP stats, Status Effect Chance and Resist, and a few Max HP and Max MP nodes. In the planner data it is also paid for with a separate point type, so it never takes points from the four PvE boards. Grobs’s boards leave it empty, and init.rb’s puts 36 of those separate points into it.
