FAQ

What is the best Spiritmaster PvP build in AION 2?
The most common public PvP bar is Spirit’s Benediction, Summon: Ancient Spirit, Seize Magic and Command: Proxy. Carneiro MMO, who reports reaching first place in the arena with it, runs Magic Block instead of Command: Proxy to seal casters. Both keep Benediction and the Ancient Spirit and drop the PvE stigmas Corrode and Flame Blessing or Destructive Attack.
How many stigmas can a Spiritmaster use on Global?
Four. Antochi notes that the Korean version allows six, so Korean stigma setups do not fit. The most copied Spiritmaster PvP build on questlog.gg, init.rb’s “SM PVP variant”, lists six stigmas, so on Global you have to choose four of them.
Why do PvP Spiritmasters take Soul’s Cry?
It is the class’s fear: in the client data a 70% chance to fear the target for 5 seconds, with level 8 adding a 5-second root and later options a shorter cooldown and a longer fear. Carneiro MMO uses it when an enemy gets close. 12 of 14 public PvP builds put it on the bar, against 34% of other Spiritmaster builds.
Should a Spiritmaster use Rapid Scattershot in PvP?
Mostly not. It only hits a staggered target, and Carneiro MMO leaves it out of his PvP build. 4 of 14 public PvP builds keep it, against 82% of other Spiritmaster builds.
How does the Earth Spirit help in PvP?
In the client data its skill raises Enmity and has a 30% chance to taunt a player for 2 seconds. Carneiro MMO says that in a tab-target game this makes the enemy hit the spirit instead of you, so he summons it last, because it stays out the longest.

What is the best Spiritmaster PvP build right now?

Spirit’s Benediction and the Ancient Spirit, plus two stigmas that strip buffs and keep you alive. The Spiritmaster wins PvP fights by letting its spirits deal damage while fear, roots, slows and buff removal keep the enemy off balance. One Global creator has published a PvP build guide, Carneiro MMO (Spiritmaster PvP Build, 2026-10-08), built with his guild; the public PvP builds on questlog.gg mostly agree with it:

Part Carneiro MMO (arena and Abyss) Most common public PvP bar
Stigmas Spirit’s Benediction, Summon: Ancient Spirit, Seize Magic, Magic Block Spirit’s Benediction, Summon: Ancient Spirit, Seize Magic, Command: Proxy
Swaps Command: Proxy if you take too much damage, Kaisinel’s Power for status effects, Siphon for damage and mana
Plan Fear whoever gets close, strip their buffs, seal casters; the Earth Spirit pulls the enemy’s attention
Dropped from PvE Corrode, Flame Blessing or Destructive Attack, and Rapid Scattershot Mostly the same

For the PvE side of the class, see the Spiritmaster PvE build; every Spiritmaster guide is listed on the Spiritmaster builds hub.

Which stigmas should a Spiritmaster use in PvP?

Keep Spirit’s Benediction and the Ancient Spirit; the other two slots go to Seize Magic and a defensive pick. On Global you have four stigma slots, Antochi notes in a Spiritmaster stigma guide (2026-10-14), while Korea has six, so Korean setups do not fit. The PvP builds keep the two PvE core stigmas and replace the other two (Corrode, and Flame Blessing or Jointstrike: Destructive Attack):

Stigma What it does (client data) 14 PvP builds All Spiritmaster builds
Enhance: Spirit’s Benediction +20% PvE and +10% PvP Damage Boost and Tolerance for you and your spirit, and healing for 10s 13 96%
Seize Magic Area hit that removes 2 buffs (3 from level 5) and deals extra damage per buff removed; Seal at 10 if it removes 3 10 7%
Summon: Ancient Spirit A second spirit for 30s; its skill grants the Four Elements status that Elemental Fusion needs 10 96%
Command: Proxy For 4s, half of the damage you take goes to your spirit, which gets +10% PvP Damage Tolerance 8 6%
Siphon Damage and 300 MP damage; absorbs 10% HP; a 30% Max HP shield at 15 5 8%
Jointstrike: Corrode Area damage over time; −70% Incoming Heal at 15 4 86%
Kaisinel’s Power +20% Status Effect Chance and Resist for 10s 3 3%
Magic Block 75% chance to Seal for 5s; Root at 5 1 under 3%

The “All Spiritmaster builds” column counts the 334 builds with stigmas on the bar among the 541 public Spiritmaster skill builds we read on 2026-10-19. The most common full bar among the PvP builds is Spirit’s Benediction, Summon: Ancient Spirit, Seize Magic and Command: Proxy (4 builds). Flame Blessing (on 42% of all Spiritmaster builds) and Jointstrike: Destructive Attack (36%) do not appear on any of them.

How the creators pick the last two:

  • Seize Magic (Carneiro MMO): removes the enemy’s buffs, which in the client data also raises its damage for each buff removed.
  • Magic Block (Carneiro MMO): a seal; against a caster, he says, it stops them from using skills. He drops it if his weapon already has a seal stone. Only 1 of the 14 public PvP builds slots it.
  • Command: Proxy (Carneiro MMO): the swap when you are taking too much damage, in place of Magic Block or Seize Magic. He would not swap out Benediction or the Ancient Spirit.
  • Kaisinel’s Power: +20% Status Effect Resist and Chance, so your seals and fear land more often. The note on init.rb’s “SM PVP variant” (in Russian) calls it the main stigma for Global.
  • Siphon: the damage and survival pick. Carneiro MMO likes it for the mana and the 10% HP it absorbs; Antochi calls it the swap for when you need to survive.

init.rb’s “SM PVP variant”, the most copied Spiritmaster PvP build (nine public builds carry its name), lists six stigmas: Siphon, Command: Proxy, Spirit’s Benediction, Seize Magic, Summon: Ancient Spirit and Kaisinel’s Power. Its note picks the flexible slot by need: Seize Magic for a debuff, Magic Block in place of Command: Proxy, Siphon for survival.

How does a Spiritmaster control fights in PvP?

Fear, root and slow the enemy, and let the Earth Spirit take the hits. The control tools in the client data:

  1. Soul’s Cry: 70% chance to fear the target for 5 seconds (100% against monsters). Its options add a 5-second root (level 8), −10s cooldown (12) and +2s fear (16).
  2. Summon: Earth Spirit: its skill raises Enmity and has a 30% chance to taunt a player for 2 seconds.
  3. Dimensional Control: triggers when a spirit uses its skill and slows by 40% for 3 seconds; level 8 adds +20% Slow and level 16 a 30% chance to root for 3 seconds.
  4. Seize Magic and Magic Block (stigmas): buff removal and a 75% chance to seal for 5 seconds.
  5. Cold Shock: its level 16 option has a 10% chance to remove a buff.

The plan (Carneiro MMO): keep your spirits and basic attacks going and slow the enemy. If someone gets close, use Soul’s Cry to fear them, then remove their buffs with Seize Magic; if they come back, seal them with Magic Block. Summon the Earth Spirit last, because it stays out the longest: in a tab-target game it pulls the enemy’s attention, and they end up hitting the spirit instead of you. He calls the build a monster in the arena, where he reports reaching first place, and says it is strong in the Abyss too because it disables enemies in several ways.

Which skills and specializations change for PvP?

Soul’s Cry and the Wind Spirit go on the bar, Rapid Scattershot comes off, and the control options replace the damage options. Most public PvP builds keep the PvE spirits and Elemental Fusion; the bar changes, against the 257 non-PvP Spiritmaster builds we could read in full on 2026-10-19, are:

Skill 14 PvP builds Other Spiritmaster builds
Soul’s Cry (fear) 12 34%
Summon: Wind Spirit 9 33%
Defiance 5 11%
Rapid Scattershot (only hits staggered targets) 4 82%

These specializations move most between the 14 PvP builds and those 257 other builds:

Skill PvP option PvP builds Other builds
Dimensional Control 30% chance to Root for 3s (level 16) 9 of 13 2%
Soul’s Cry −10s cooldown (level 12) 9 of 12 11%
Jointstrike: Curse Ignores Block and Evasion and always crits (level 16) 8 of 12 3%
Cold Shock Absorbs 1% HP (level 8) 9 of 13 6%
Soul’s Cry Root for 5s (level 8) 7 of 12 8%
Cold Shock 10% chance to remove a buff (level 16) 7 of 13 1%
Dimensional Control +20% Slow (level 8) 6 of 13 2%
Soul’s Cry +2s Fear (level 16) 6 of 12 2%

What they give up are the damage options: none of 13 takes Dimensional Control’s +50% Multi-Hit, against 79% of other builds, and 5 of 13 take Cold Shock’s +2% Attack stacks, against 82%. Carneiro MMO takes the same kind of options: the fear’s root, cooldown and duration, Dimensional Control’s slow, and Jointstrike: Curse ignoring Block and Evasion. He adds that up to about 1,600 gear score your skills top out around level 14, so the level 16 options come later.

How should a Spiritmaster set up the PvP macro?

Macro the buff and the summons, and keep the control skills by hand. Carneiro MMO puts Spirit’s Benediction first, then the Ancient Spirit, then the other spirits and Elemental Fusion, so one key buffs you, brings out the spirits and keeps casting Combustion once everything else is on cooldown. Between macro presses he uses Cold Shock, which restores MP, so he does not run out of mana. Soul’s Cry, Seize Magic and Magic Block stay on their own keys. 10 of the 14 public PvP builds save a macro. The PvE version is covered in the Spiritmaster macro guide.

Passives (Carneiro MMO): Spirit Strike, Spirit Protection, Revitalization Contract and Elemental Unification. In the client data, Revitalization Contract adds 17% Status Effect Resist and more each time you are hit while stunned, knocked down, airborne, frozen or feared.

How should a Spiritmaster spend Azphel points?

The public PvP boards take the PvP Damage Boost corners and all eight Status Effect Chance nodes. In the client data, Azphel uses its own point type, unlocks at level 45 and holds 153 nodes for 232 points, all PvP stats, Status Effect Chance and Resist, and a few Max HP and MP nodes. The Daevanion calculator adds up a board for you. The public Spiritmaster boards differ:

Board Azphel points What it takes
init.rb, “Final” 146 All eight corners (PvP Damage Boost and Tolerance); 8 Status Effect Chance and 5 Resist
kennysurvivor, “Spiritmaster PvP 416 / 146” 146 The four PvP Damage Boost corners, no Tolerance; 8 Status Effect Chance and 4 Resist
lootstat, “ELEMENTALIST” 232 The full board

The PvE boards are covered in the Spiritmaster Daevanion guide, and the PvE gear in the Spiritmaster gear guide.

Where does this build come from?

We have not tested this build in-game ourselves. It is compiled from these sources and checked against the skill data:

  • Skill, specialization and Daevanion data: the Global game client data behind questlog.gg’s planners (checked 2026-10-21).
  • Carneiro MMO: AION 2: Spiritmaster PvP Build – No Peace for the Enemy! (2026-10-08).
  • Antochi: Aion 2 Spiritmaster Stigma Guide: Which 4 and How Far to Level (Global) (2026-10-14).
  • Public builds and boards: init.rb’s “SM PVP variant” skill build and note and “Final” Daevanion board, and kennysurvivor’s and lootstat’s Daevanion boards on questlog.gg.
  • Public PvP builds: the 28 public Global Spiritmaster skill builds on questlog.gg named or tagged for PvP, searched on 2026-10-21. Shares count the 14 that slot stigmas and are neither copies nor PvE builds with a PvP tag.
  • Comparison builds: stigma shares from the 334 builds with stigmas on the bar among the 541 public Spiritmaster skill builds (2026-10-19), and specialization shares from the 257 non-PvP Spiritmaster builds we could read in full on the same day.

Carneiro MMO’s arena rank, the effect of the seal stone and the gear score at which skills reach level 14 come from the creator, not from the client data.
