FAQ

Is the Spiritmaster the same class as the Elementalist?
Yes. Spiritmaster is the name shown in the Global client; Elementalist is the internal name in the game data, which questlog.gg and some Korean and Taiwanese guides still use. Builds labelled Elementalist or “Ele” are Spiritmaster builds.
What weapon does the Spiritmaster use?
An orb, with a guard in the off-hand. In questlog.gg’s gear statistics for 166 public Spiritmaster character builds, the most common weapons are the Enraged Kromede Jewel (20%), the Rupture Jewel (17%) and the quest weapon Spiritforged Orb (15%); all three are orbs in the item data. The most common guards are the Nuakum Guard (20%) and the Bakarma Guard (17%).
Which stigmas should a Spiritmaster use?
Enhance: Spirit’s Benediction, Summon: Ancient Spirit and Jointstrike: Corrode, which are on the skill bar in 81–95% of public Spiritmaster builds on questlog.gg. The fourth slot is split between Flame Blessing (39%), which aLuckyRO and Grobs take, and Jointstrike: Destructive Attack (35%), which init.rb’s most-liked PvE build takes.
How does Elemental Fusion work?
Each time one of your spirits uses its skill, you gain an element. At four elements you enter Four Elements, which lets you cast Elemental Fusion once; casting it removes the status. The Ancient Spirit grants Four Elements outright every time it uses its skill. From level 12, Elemental Fusion can become a charge skill that deals up to 200% more damage.
Which spirit should a Spiritmaster summon?
Usually Fire, Water and Earth, all at once: every spirit’s skill feeds Elemental Fusion. The Fire Spirit hits up to four enemies, the Water Spirit restores your MP, and the Earth Spirit draws enemies’ attention. aLuckyRO drops the Wind Spirit once the other three use their skills often enough, and Hemi leaves it out of his macros; it is on 49% of skill bars in public builds.
Is the Spiritmaster good for new players?
aLuckyRO calls it the simplest and easiest class in AION 2, with a macro he describes as a kids’ toy compared with the Chanter’s. The catch is survival: he also calls it an extremely weak class that dies quickly when an enemy reaches it. The Earth Spirit helps when you play alone, because it draws a boss’s attention.

What is the best Spiritmaster build in AION 2?

The standard Spiritmaster build is a summoner that keeps three spirits out and spends the elements they generate on Elemental Fusion. Its stigmas are Enhance: Spirit’s Benediction, Summon: Ancient Spirit and Jointstrike: Corrode, plus Flame Blessing or Jointstrike: Destructive Attack: the most common stigmas on the skill bar in public Spiritmaster builds on questlog.gg. aLuckyRO, Grobs and init.rb, the author of the most-liked Spiritmaster builds on the site, all start from that core.

Each part of the build has its own guide:

Guide What it covers
Spiritmaster PvE build Skill levels and specializations, the fourth stigma, the opener, the macro and the passives
Spiritmaster Daevanion build What each of the five boards holds, and Grobs’s 60-point and 290-point boards drawn out
Best Spiritmaster build init.rb’s and Grobs’s builds compared, Flame Blessing or Destructive Attack, and the PvP stigma menu
Spiritmaster gear guide What Spiritmasters wear in every slot, the best orb, init.rb’s upgrade path, Spirit Strike lines and Arcana
Spiritmaster PvP build Coming soon

How does the Spiritmaster deal damage?

Through its spirits, and through the skills that trigger when they act. The client data shows how the pieces connect:

  1. Your spirits fight beside you with basic attacks, and each attack that lands has a chance to make the spirit use its skill: 15% for the Fire and Water Spirits, 10% for the Earth and Wind Spirits.
  2. Elemental Fusion is fed by those skills. Each spirit skill gives you an element, and at four you enter Four Elements, which lets you cast Elemental Fusion once. aLuckyRO calls it your highest-damage skill.
  3. Summon: Ancient Spirit, a stigma, summons a fifth spirit for 30 seconds. It grants Four Elements outright each time it uses its skill, and it reuses the skill after every 7 basic attacks (5 from stigma level 15). aLuckyRO shows it opening with the skill as it appears, so Elemental Fusion is ready at once.
  4. Dimensional Control can be cast for a moment each time a spirit uses its skill. It hits up to four enemies, slows them and restores 100 MP.
  5. Jointstrike skills make your spirit join the attack with its own hit, which depends on which spirit is out. Jointstrike: Curse is an active skill; Corrode and Destructive Attack are stigmas.

Two stigmas raise everything at once. Enhance: Spirit’s Benediction gives you and your spirit +20% PvE Damage Boost and +20% PvE Damage Tolerance for 10 seconds, and Jointstrike: Corrode makes the target take 10% more damage from your spirits for 20 seconds. How the creators order them is in the Spiritmaster PvE build.

Which spirits should a Spiritmaster summon?

Fire, Water and Earth, and Wind while you level. Each spirit has its own job, and every one of them feeds Elemental Fusion:

Spirit What its skill does What else it does On the skill bar in
Fire Spirit Rushes a target and hits up to 4 enemies within 5m Highest skill chance (15%), with Water 97% of builds
Water Spirit Water hit on one target Restores 20 of your MP each time its attack lands 96%
Earth Spirit Earth hit that adds 3,750 Enmity Raises Enmity with every attack, so enemies turn to it 97%
Wind Spirit Hits up to 4 enemies and heals you Restores 1.5% of your HP each time its attack lands 49%

aLuckyRO keeps the Water Spirit out for MP: without it, he says, you have serious mana problems early on. He uses the Earth Spirit to tank bosses, because the boss turns to it and leaves you alone. The Wind Spirit is the one the creators drop. While your attack speed is low, aLuckyRO summons all four, because each spirit uses its skill as it appears, so four summons guarantee an Elemental Fusion. Once the other three use skills often enough on their own, he removes it from the bar; Hemi leaves it out of his macros because it does not fit.

Which stigmas do Spiritmasters slot most?

Three stigmas are on almost every skill bar, and the fourth slot is split. These shares count only the stigmas placed on the skill bar, as on every class page here. On 2026-10-11, 193 of the 361 public Spiritmaster skill builds on questlog.gg had at least one stigma on the bar, and 141 of them had exactly four:

Stigma Share of 193 builds What it does
Enhance: Spirit’s Benediction 95% +20% PvE Damage Boost and Damage Tolerance for you and your spirit for 10s, with a heal over time
Summon: Ancient Spirit 94% Summons an Ancient Spirit for 30s that grants Four Elements each time it uses its skill
Jointstrike: Corrode 81% Area hit; the target takes 10% more damage from your spirit for 20s
Flame Blessing 39% For 10s, a 50% chance of extra damage when your attacks land
Jointstrike: Destructive Attack 35% Single-target hit with your spirit and 50 Stagger damage; level 20 resets Curse and Corrode
Siphon 11% Hit that absorbs 10% HP and restores 300 MP
Seize Magic 10% Area hit that removes up to 2 buffs
Command: Proxy 8% Shares the damage you take 50/50 with your spirit for 4s
Kaisinel’s Power 4% +20% Status Effect Chance and Resist for 10s
Cursed Cloud 3% Area hit plus 10s of damage over time
Cry of Terror 3% Area hit with a 50% Fear chance
Magic Block 2% Hit with a 75% Seal chance
Assault Terror 1% Area hit with a Fear chance; more Defense per target hit

On Global you equip four. aLuckyRO treats Siphon, Seize Magic, Kaisinel’s Power, Magic Block and Cry of Terror as PvP stigmas and dismisses Assault Terror as a skill for melee classes; init.rb’s PvP build is the one that uses Command: Proxy. aLuckyRO rates Cursed Cloud as good in PvE too, but only from the middle of the game.

Which active skills appear in most Spiritmaster builds?

Eight of the twelve actives are on the skill bar in more than 95% of those builds:

Active skill Share of 193 builds
Combustion 98%
Cold Shock 97%
Summon: Fire Spirit 97%
Summon: Earth Spirit 97%
Jointstrike: Curse 97%
Elemental Fusion 97%
Summon: Water Spirit 96%
Dimensional Control 96%
Rapid Scattershot 71%
Soul’s Cry 55%
Summon: Wind Spirit 49%
Defiance 22%

Defiance looks rare only because it is bound to its own key rather than the skill bar. Rapid Scattershot works only on a staggered target, so aLuckyRO keeps it for bosses. He calls Soul’s Cry, a Fear skill, useless in PvE.

What does every Spiritmaster skill do?

The Spiritmaster has 35 skills: 12 actives, 13 stigmas and 10 passives. The descriptions below summarize the Global client data. Damage numbers are left out because they scale with skill level, and specializations change several of these effects.

Is the Spiritmaster hard to play?

Not by AION 2’s standards; staying alive is the harder part. aLuckyRO calls it the simplest and easiest class in the game, much easier than the Spiritmaster of the original AION, and says its macro is a kids’ toy next to the Chanter’s. OneTimeACraft sums up his rotation as two self-buffs, the Ancient Spirit, Elemental Fusion whenever you can cast it, and holding right click for the rest. Hemi runs almost everything through two macro lines and casts his buffs by hand.

The weakness is defence. aLuckyRO warns that the Spiritmaster is an extremely weak class: in PvP you die if someone reaches you, and bosses hit you hard even during the main story quest. The spirits soften that, and the Earth Spirit in particular, since enemies turn to it instead of you.
