FAQ
How many Daevanion boards does the Gladiator have?
Five. Nezekan unlocks at character level 12, Zikel at 20, Vaizel at 30, Triniel at 40 and Azphel at 45. The first four raise skill levels and general stats; Azphel is a PvP and status-effect board with no skill nodes.
How many points does it take to fill every Gladiator board?
570 points for the four PvE boards: 134 each for Nezekan, Zikel and Vaizel, and 168 for Triniel. Azphel needs another 232, but the planner data charges it in a separate point type, so it does not compete with the PvE boards. Nobody fills the PvE boards early on, which is why node order matters. As a reference point, Grobs’ level 45 PvE plan spends 227 points.
How many levels can Daevanion add to a skill?
At most four. Each of the four PvE boards has one node per active skill. Each passive gets two nodes on either Nezekan or Zikel, plus one more on Vaizel and one on Triniel. Stigmas have no Daevanion nodes at all, so their levels come from elsewhere.
Should a PvE Gladiator invest in Azphel?
Not for damage. Azphel has no skill-level nodes. Its legendary nodes are PvP Damage Boost and PvP Damage Tolerance, and most of its other nodes are PvP Attack, Defense, Accuracy, Evasion and Critical Hit, plus Status Effect Chance and Resist. It is paid for with its own point type, though, so filling it never costs you nodes on the PvE boards.
What do Daevanion nodes cost?
Common stat nodes cost 1 point, passive skill nodes 2, active skill nodes 3 and legendary stat nodes 4. A node only becomes available once it connects back to the start of its board, so expensive targets often need a few cheap nodes along the way.
Can you reset Daevanion nodes?
Yes. In the planner data every node lists the same reset cost of 500, so changing your mind is cheap. Rebuilding for a new patch or switching between a PvE and PvP layout is practical.
What is the best Gladiator Daevanion build for PvE?
Fill the four PvE boards in this order of priority: active skill nodes for your core skills, then legendary damage nodes, then passive skill nodes, then cheap stat filler. Azphel is paid for with its own points and has nothing for PvE damage, so it is not part of a PvE plan.
The core skills are Overhead Slam, Rending Blow, Ruinous Blow and Keen Strike. Each one can gain up to four levels from the boards. The level 45 plan below comes from the Gladiator creator Grobs and follows exactly that logic.
Board
Points Grobs spends (level 45)
What it buys him
Nezekan
71
Core skill nodes, Attack Preparation, both Combat Speed and both Cooldown Reduction legendaries
One more level on the core skills, Attack Preparation, Impact Hit, Murderous Burst and Experienced Counterstrike
Triniel
62
The fourth level on the core skills and all three Multi-Hit Chance legendaries
Azphel
0
Not part of the plan: separate points, PvP nodes only
The result is +4 levels on Rending Blow, Overhead Slam, Keen Strike, Ruinous Blow and Attack Preparation, and +3 on Blood Absorption, Impact Hit and Murderous Burst. On top of that come +3% Combat Speed, +3% Cooldown Reduction, +3% Damage Boost and +4.5% Multi-Hit Chance. To see how these levels feed the rotation, read the Gladiator PvE build.
Here is that plan drawn on the boards. Every path starts at the centre node, and the highlighted nodes are the ones Grobs takes. On a computer, hover over a node to see what it gives.

What does each Daevanion board give a Gladiator?
The four PvE boards all raise skill levels, but each one has a different set of legendary nodes. That difference is what decides how far you go into each board. Everything in this table comes from the board data in questlog.gg’s Daevanion planner.

Legendary nodes (4 pts, +1.5% each)

+1 every active skill; +2 Impact Hit, Murderous Burst, Experienced Counterstrike, Destructive Impulse, Survival Willpower
All the common filler nodes are identical in every board: +3 Attack, +5 Critical Hit, +5 Critical Hit Resist, +30 Defense, +100 Max HP or +50 Max MP, each for 1 point.
How much do Daevanion nodes cost?
Common stat nodes cost 1 point, passive skill nodes 2, active skill nodes 3 and legendary nodes 4. You can only take a node once it connects back to the start of its board, so a cheap filler node is often the path to an expensive skill or legendary node behind it.

1
+3 Attack, +50 Max MP
Passive skill level
2
Attack Preparation +1

3

Resetting a node is cheap: every node in the planner data lists the same reset cost of 500, so you can re-path for a new patch without much risk.
Which Daevanion nodes should a Gladiator take first?
Take the active skill nodes for Overhead Slam, Ruinous Blow and Rending Blow first; they are the biggest part of your damage. After those, take legendary damage nodes, then the passive skill nodes for Impact Hit, Attack Preparation and Experienced Counterstrike. Fill the remaining points with +3 Attack nodes.
This is the order Ulfhednar recommends, and Grobs’ plans follow the same logic:
Active skill nodes: Overhead Slam, Ruinous Blow and Rending Blow. Grobs adds Keen Strike too, since it is your mana generator.
Passive skill nodes: Impact Hit (its Double Chance doubles a hit’s damage), Attack Preparation and Experienced Counterstrike.
Filler: +3 Attack nodes first, then +5 Critical Hit. Take +50 Max MP nodes only if you keep running out of mana.
The two creators differ on one point. Grobs’ level 45 plan takes no Critical Damage Boost legendaries from Vaizel and spends those points on Triniel’s Multi-Hit Chance nodes instead, while Ulfhednar lists crit damage among his first legendary picks. Both choices raise damage; Grobs’ route also adds the fourth level to every core skill.
While leveling, spend on the core skills before anything else. Grobs’ leveling template uses only 65 points: 25 in Nezekan, 17 in Zikel and 23 in Vaizel. That gives +2 levels to Rending Blow, Overhead Slam, Keen Strike and Ruinous Blow, +1 to Leaping Slam, and one legendary node each for Combat Speed and Damage Boost.

According to Grobs, skill points alone only take a skill to level 10. That is why the early skill nodes matter: they are how your core skills reach level 12, the level where Overhead Slam gets its Lands as a Critical Hit specialization.
Why do PvE Gladiator plans leave out Azphel?
Azphel has no skill-level nodes and no PvE damage nodes. Its legendaries are PvP Damage Boost and PvP Damage Tolerance, and its middle-tier nodes are PvP Critical Hit, PvP Accuracy and Evasion, PvP Attack and Defense, and Status Effect Chance and Resist. Its common nodes are PvP stats too.
Azphel also runs on different points. In the planner data, the four PvE boards cost Daevanion points, while Azphel’s 232 points come from a separate point type, so spending on Azphel never takes nodes away from Nezekan, Zikel, Vaizel or Triniel. PvE plans leave it out because it adds no PvE damage, not because the points are better spent elsewhere. Fill it whenever you have points of that type; it matters most if you play Arena or open-world PvP.
How does Daevanion fit with your skill levels?
Daevanion can add at most four levels to any one skill. Your PvE targets are much higher than that: Overhead Slam and Rending Blow at 16, Lunge Stance at 20. So the boards are one source among several. The remaining levels come from skill lines on your gear, such as the rings, weapon and guard, and on Arcana cards; the Gladiator gear guide covers what to equip. Stigmas have no Daevanion nodes at all.
We have not tested this board in-game ourselves. The board and node data comes from the game client, as published in questlog.gg’s Daevanion planner (Global, checked 2026-10-08). The plans and priorities come from:
