FAQ

What weapon does a Spiritmaster use in AION 2?
An orb, with a guard in the off-hand. The most common is the Enraged Kromede Jewel, used by 19% of 195 geared Spiritmasters at an average of +13: an item level 86 orb with 2m of extra range. For the long term, Grobs’s Season 1 best-in-slot set uses a crafted Splendent Wise Dragon Lord Orb at item level 102; Asmodians craft the Splendent Ebony version.
Should a Spiritmaster run tier 1 dungeons?
init.rb, whose Spiritmaster character builds are the most-liked on questlog.gg, skips them. His leveling character goes from the Spiritforged Orb at the end of the main story straight to tier 2 gear, and he labels his tier 1 set, a Rupture Jewel with Bakarma armor and Berk jewelry, not recommended.
What should a Spiritmaster roll on armor?
Spirit Strike and Mental Focus on every piece. init.rb and Grobs both roll those two skill lines on all seven armor pieces and on the necklace and earrings. Spirit Strike adds 6% PvE Damage Boost for you and your spirit, and Spirit’s Benediction multiplies that by 1.5 from stigma level 10.
Which skills should a Spiritmaster roll on rings?
Combustion, Elemental Fusion and Summon: Fire Spirit, with Might as a stat line. init.rb’s and Grobs’s sets agree on all three, the skills the best Spiritmaster builds push highest.
Which Arcana cards should a Spiritmaster use?
Four Vigor cards and the Bell of Magic. Among 195 geared Spiritmasters, the Chalice, Compass, Parchment and Mirror of Vigor are each used by 48–54%, and the Bell of Magic by 47%. Four Vigor cards give the Primal Vigor bonus, +150 PvE Attack while your HP is 70% or more. init.rb puts Elemental Fusion and Combustion on the Chalice, Parchment and Compass.

What gear do Spiritmasters wear in each slot?

Spiritmasters are still mid-progression. Nuakum armor (item level 86) leads every armor slot, the Enraged Kromede Jewel leads the weapons, and no crafted Dragon Lord piece reaches the top three anywhere. The cards below show the three most common items per slot across 195 Global Spiritmaster characters with gear data on questlog.gg, checked on 2026-10-13.

Most used item in each slot, with its share of geared Spiritmasters and the average enhancement of that item. 195 Global characters on questlog.gg, checked 2026-10-13.

One caution on the Rupture, Bakarma and Berk rows. init.rb’s endgame character build is the most-liked Spiritmaster character build on questlog.gg, and 69 of the 358 public Spiritmaster character builds are clones of it. Its first set is a Rupture Jewel +10, Bakarma armor +5 and Berk jewelry +10, which matches the averages in those rows, so part of them are likely copies of his planned set, not gear people already wear. The Nuakum and Enraged Kromede pieces average +10 to +13, among the highest in the table, so the players who have them are investing in them. You wear two bracelets, so their shares add up to more than 100%.

Which orb should a Spiritmaster use?

Use the Enraged Kromede Jewel once you can get it, and a crafted Dragon Lord orb as the long-term goal. The game files the Kromede and Rupture jewels under orbs, so they fill the same slot. Every orb has the same 20m base reach, so the real differences are item level, the number of soul binding lines and the extra range on Kromede and Ludra weapons:

  • Kromede Jewel Item level 43
    +2m range · 3 stat / 3 skill lines
  • Spiritforged Orb Item level 45
Main story weapon · no soul binding lines
  • Fallen Ancient God Orb Item level 46
    4 stat / 4 skill lines
  • Rupture Jewel Item level 54
    4 stat / 4 skill lines
  • True / Star Dragon Lord Orb Item level 62
    Crafted · 5 stat / 5 skill lines
  • Aulamus Orb Item level 70
    4 stat / 4 skill lines
  • Splendent True / Star Dragon Lord Orb Item level 70
    Crafted · 5 stat / 5 skill lines
  • Enraged Kromede Jewel Item level 86
    +2m range · 3 stat / 3 skill lines
  • Abyssal Orb Item level 86
    4 stat / 4 skill lines
  • Splendent White / Dark Dragon Lord Orb Item level 86
    Crafted · 5 stat / 5 skill lines
  • Ludra’s Abyssal Jade Item level 102
    +2m range · 3 stat / 3 skill lines
  • Splendent Wise / Ebony Dragon Lord Orb Item level 102
    Crafted · 5 stat / 5 skill lines
Orbs Spiritmasters use, by item level, from the item data on questlog.gg.

The Spiritforged Orb is the main story weapon and rolls no soul binding lines. The Kromede jewels and Ludra’s Abyssal Jade add 2m of range but roll only three lines of each kind, while every Dragon Lord orb rolls five. Crafted Dragon Lord gear is faction-specific: Elyos craft True, White and Wise pieces, Asmodians Star, Dark and Ebony pieces, with a Splendent version of each tier.

How do Spiritmasters upgrade gear?

init.rb skips the tier 1 dungeons. He publishes the two most-liked Spiritmaster character builds on questlog.gg: a leveling character (36 likes) and an endgame character (126 likes). Both are Elyos. His leveling character takes you from level 20 to tier 2:

Stage Orb and guard Armor Jewelry
Levels 20, 30 and 40 Dawn, then Wind Breeze, then Drifter +5 The same sets A few early rings and earrings, then a Drifter necklace
Start of level 45 Pilgrim Orb and Guard +5 (item level 39) Mostly Pilgrim Drifter and Rotan, some at +3
End of the main story Spiritforged Orb +5 (item level 45), Pilgrim Guard +5 Pilgrim, with a Drifter Breastplate and Bakarma Gloves Pilgrim +3
Tier 2, skipping tier 1 Spiritforged Orb and Guard +5 Pilgrim +5, with an Anguish Breastplate and Cloak and Bakarma Gloves Pilgrim +5
Next goal Splendent True Dragon Lord Orb +5 (crafted, item level 70), Vakron Guard +5 Vakron +5 Pilgrim +5

His set names make the point: the tier 2 set is called “T2 (skip T1)”, the tier 1 set, a Rupture Jewel with Bakarma armor and Berk jewelry (all item level 54), is labelled not recommended, and his notes on the character mention a full skip of the tier 1 dungeons.

His endgame character, which he labels a theory build for Global, shows where the path goes next:

Set (his name) Orb and guard Armor Jewelry
“T1 Clear”, an example Rupture Jewel +10, Bakarma Guard +10 Bakarma +5 Berk +10
“Mid T2 Dungeon + Kraft” True Dragon Lord Orb and Guard +16 (crafted, item level 62) Vakron +5 (item level 70) Berk +10
“T3 theory” Enraged Kromede Jewel +16, Nuakum Guard +16 (item level 86) Nuakum +10 Enraged Kromede +16

He also publishes the tier 3 set at +10 for players without Philosopher’s Stones, and a Splendent True Dragon Lord set that he marks as not tested.

Grobs’s Season 1 target is a full crafted set. His “Elementalist - BIS Season 1” character build puts every slot in Splendent Wise Dragon Lord gear at +20, item level 102, with a second set where the orb, guard and jewelry are still at +10. He plays an Elyos; an Asmodian would craft the matching Splendent Ebony pieces.

What should a Spiritmaster roll on gear?

Spirit Strike and Mental Focus on every armor piece, and Combustion, Elemental Fusion and the Fire Spirit on the rings. init.rb and Grobs fill every line on their sets, and they agree on the skill lines. Skill lines raise a skill’s level; stat lines add the stat shown.

Slot init.rb (tier 3 set) Grobs (Season 1 set)
Orb and guard Combat Speed, Might, Precision, plus Weapon Damage Boost on the guard Combat Speed, Weapon Damage Boost, Damage Boost, Precision, Might
Armor, all seven pieces Spirit Strike and Mental Focus, plus two attack lines such as Double Chance, Attack increase, Perfect Chance, Damage Boost or Critical Damage Boost Spirit Strike, Mental Focus and Attack, plus Element Unification on four pieces and one or two attack lines
Necklace and earrings Spirit Strike, Mental Focus, Might, plus Combat Speed or Move Speed Spirit Strike, Mental Focus, Might, Attack, plus Combat Speed or Precision
Rings Combustion, Elemental Fusion, Summon: Fire Spirit, Might Combustion, Elemental Fusion, Summon: Fire Spirit, Might, Precision

Spirit Strike is the passive every creator ranks first: +6% PvE Damage Boost and +0.4% Perfect Chance for you and your spirit, and from stigma level 10, Spirit’s Benediction multiplies its Damage Boost by 1.5. Mental Focus is the surprise. aLuckyRO calls it a PvP passive, but both of these sets roll it on all nine pieces; it adds Mental-type status-effect chance and +0.3% Double Chance. Element Unification, on four of Grobs’s armor pieces, adds Critical Damage Boost each time a spirit skill lands. The rings carry the three skills the best Spiritmaster build pushes highest.

Which Arcana cards should a Spiritmaster use?

Four Vigor cards and the Bell of Magic. Among the 195 geared Spiritmasters, the Chalice of Vigor is used by 54%, the Compass and Parchment of Vigor by 51% each and the Mirror of Vigor by 48%. The Bell is the only card where the Magic version is more common: Bell of Magic 47%, Bell of Vigor 6%. In the item data, four Vigor cards give the full Primal Vigor bonus, +150 PvE Attack while your HP is 70% or more. A single Magic card does not complete any Magic Armor bonus, which needs two.

init.rb’s tier 1 set runs exactly that mix, at +5, and Grobs’s Season 1 set lists the same five cards. init.rb’s skill lines:

Card init.rb’s skill lines
Chalice of Vigor Elemental Fusion 4, Combustion 4, Summon: Fire Spirit 1, Cold Shock 1
Parchment of Vigor Elemental Fusion 4, Summon: Fire Spirit 2, Cold Shock 2, Dimensional Control 1
Compass of Vigor Combustion 4, Rapid Scattershot 4, Summon: Water Spirit 1, Defiance 1
Mirror of Vigor Mental Focus 4, Spirit Protection 2, Corrode 2, Consecutive Countercurrent 1
Bell of Magic Spirit Strike 4, Spirit Revitalization 2, Element Unification 2, Spirit’s Descent 1

Elemental Fusion sits on the Chalice and the Parchment, and Combustion on the Chalice and the Compass, while the passives go on the Mirror and the Bell. Together with the rings, these cards are how Combustion and Elemental Fusion get from the 14 that skill points and boards allow to the 20 of init.rb’s endgame builds.

For the skills and stigmas that go with this gear, see the Spiritmaster PvE build and the best Spiritmaster build comparison. Skill levels from the Daevanion boards stack with the ones from rings and Arcana. All Spiritmaster pages are linked from the Spiritmaster builds hub.
