FAQ

What is the best Chanter PvP build in AION 2?
It depends on the fight. For solo PvP, notXeon runs Undefeated Mantra, Marchutan’s Wrath, Fracturing Blow and Guardian Blessing, and swaps Fracturing Blow for Sprint Mantra in the arena. For group fights he runs Undefeated Mantra, Healing Touch, Impeding Authority and Power of the Storm. Across 34 public PvP builds, Undefeated Mantra and Marchutan’s Wrath are the two most common stigmas.
Should a Chanter use Sprint Mantra in PvP?
On the ground, yes. notXeon uses it to kite in the arena and the Spacetime Rift, where many players are slow, but not in the Abyss, where you spend most of the fight flying. 16 of 34 public PvP builds slot it, against 86% of all Chanter builds.
Why do PvP Chanters take Marchutan’s Wrath?
It opens another Dark Crush window and, in the client data, has a 50% chance to stun from level 10 and cuts the target’s Incoming Heal and Potion Recovery by 70% from level 15. notXeon uses it in every solo bar. Some players take Ensnaring Mark instead, which seals and roots but, notXeon says, has a longer cooldown and less damage.
Does Undefeated Mantra stack with a Cleric?
Its Damage Boost does not stack with the Cleric’s Light of Protection; in the client data only the higher-level effect applies, and Undefeated Mantra wins a tie. notXeon still takes it on every bar unless another Chanter or a Cleric in the group already covers it.
Should a Chanter macro skills in PvP?
notXeon only macros the left- and right-click attacks, which have no crowd control, and presses every stun, seal and buff himself so he decides when they land. 24 of the 34 public PvP builds save a macro, so many players do macro more; he calls it a preference.

What is the best Chanter PvP build right now?

A damage bar for solo fights and a support bar for groups, both built on Undefeated Mantra. The Chanter wins PvP fights by chaining crowd control once the enemy has used Defiance. notXeon, a Chanter streamer on Global, sets out both versions in The ONLY Chanter PvP Skill Guide You’ll Ever Need (2026-10-06):

Part Solo PvP and arena (notXeon) Group fights (notXeon)
Stigmas Undefeated Mantra, Marchutan’s Wrath, Fracturing Blow, Guardian Blessing Undefeated Mantra, Healing Touch, Impeding Authority, Power of the Storm
Swap on the ground Sprint Mantra for Fracturing Blow (arena) Sprint Mantra for Impeding Authority (Spacetime Rift)
Plan Bait Defiance with Impactful Crush, kite, then chain stuns while Defiance is on cooldown Heal, cleanse and shield the team while keeping Undefeated Mantra up
Key specializations +1s Stun and +20% Stun Chance on Impactful Crush; Stun and Seal options elsewhere The same

For the PvE side of the class, see the Chanter PvE build; every Chanter guide is listed on the Chanter builds hub.

Which stigmas should a Chanter use in PvP?

Undefeated Mantra on every bar, then Marchutan’s Wrath, and the rest by fight. The PvP builds keep the PvE core but drop Power of the Storm and Sprint Mantra more often, and add defensive picks:

Stigma What it does (client data) 34 PvP builds All Chanter builds
Undefeated Mantra +10.5% PvE and +5.25% PvP Damage Boost and Tolerance for you and nearby party members 33 99%
Marchutan’s Wrath Area hit; opens Dark Crush for 3s; 50% Stun from level 10; −70% Incoming Heal and Potion Recovery from 15 27 80%
Power of the Storm +20% Combat Speed and −20% cooldowns for 10s; less for the party 18 88%
Sprint Mantra +10.5% Move Speed and a chance to heal on hit, for the party 16 86%
Guardian Blessing +5.4% Max HP for 120s; ×1.5 Crossguard at 10 and Wind’s Promise at 15 11 13%
Focused Defense Guaranteed Block with 100% Block Damage Reduction; two uses from level 5 9 5%
Fracturing Blow Rush in; −30% Defense for 5s; +20% damage to stunned or knocked-down targets 7 13%
Ensnaring Mark Area hit; 50% Seal for 5s; opens Dark Crush; 50% Root from level 5 5 under 3%
Healing Touch Heals you and the party; restores Stamina at 10; removes 5 debuffs at 15 4 4%
Impeding Authority Party shield worth 16% of Max HP for 20s; +15% Defense from level 5 4 4%

The “All Chanter builds” column counts the 647 builds with stigmas on the bar among the first 900 public Chanter skill builds we read on 2026-10-19. The most common full bar among the PvP builds is Undefeated Mantra, Marchutan’s Wrath, Power of the Storm and Guardian Blessing (8 builds), followed by Undefeated Mantra, Marchutan’s Wrath, Sprint Mantra and Focused Defense (5).

How notXeon picks the rest:

  • Undefeated Mantra: always, unless another Chanter or a Cleric in your group already has it. In the client data its Damage Boost does not stack with the Cleric’s Light of Protection; only the higher level applies.
  • Marchutan’s Wrath: another window to spam Dark Crush, so he runs it in every solo bar. Many players prefer Ensnaring Mark, which also opens Dark Crush and can seal and root, but notXeon says it has a one-minute cooldown and less damage.
  • Guardian Blessing: only once you can take it to 15. Its ×1.5 Wind’s Promise raises your Critical Damage (Wind’s Promise is +5.7% Critical Damage Boost in the client data), and Dark Crush and, at 16, Spinning Strike can be set to always crit.
  • Fracturing Blow: the pick before Guardian Blessing reaches 15; −30% Defense for 5 seconds is strong even at level 1.
  • Power of the Storm: more Combat Speed for small fights and 1v1.
  • Healing Touch and Impeding Authority: for group fights in a support role. notXeon rates Healing Touch’s Stamina at 10 (more dodges for the team) and its five-debuff cleanse at 15.
  • Sprint Mantra: on the ground only, for chasing and kiting. In the Abyss, he says, you spend about 90% of the fight flying, so it does nothing there.
  • Focused Defense: situational in his first guide, but a week later, playing in the Spacetime Rift, he found its two to three seconds of parry very good when fighting outnumbered.
  • Barrier Spell: he calls it awful. In the client data it only keeps you above 10% HP for 3 seconds; you still take the damage.

How does the Chanter’s stun chain work in PvP?

Make the enemy use Defiance, then chain crowd control while it is on cooldown. Defiance removes Stun, Knockdown, Airborne, Grab, Frost and Fear and grants immunity to them for 5 seconds; every class has it. The Chanter’s control skills in the client data:

  1. Impactful Crush: 60% chance to stun for 3 seconds, from up to 20m, and opens Dark Crush for 2 seconds.
  2. Tremor Crush: moves you to a target within 10m, with a 50% chance to stun for 3 seconds after you dodge or while flying.
  3. Wave Blow: only hits a stunned target, and knocks it down for 3 seconds.
  4. Heat Wave Blow: an area hit whose client text gives a 40% chance to seal for 3 seconds “on Block”; its level 8 options add +20% Seal Chance or a 40% chance to stun.
  5. Marchutan’s Wrath (stigma): a 50% chance to stun from level 10.

The plan (notXeon): open with Impactful Crush, which has a high stun chance with its level 16 option, to make the enemy use Defiance. Watch the enemy’s buff bar for the Defiance icon. Once it is used, kite (Sprint Mantra helps on the ground) until you know it is on cooldown, about 45 seconds by his count, then chain your stuns and burst. notXeon adds that crowd control in AION 2 has no diminishing returns, so five stuns in a row all last their full time; that is his observation, not something the client data states.

Your own Defiance (notXeon): take it to level 8 for the HP restore on use, which gives back some of the damage taken while stunned. At 12, he also takes its chain skill, which he says can stun too, although the description does not say so.

Which specializations change for PvP?

Add Stun and Seal chance and duration wherever a skill offers them. These options move most between the 34 PvP builds and the 506 non-PvP Chanter builds we could read in full on 2026-10-19:

Skill PvP option PvP builds Other builds
Impactful Crush +1s Stun (level 8) 23 of 32 1%
Heat Wave Blow +20% Seal Chance (level 8) 23 of 33 4%
Impactful Crush +20% Stun Chance (level 16) 22 of 32 1%
Wave Blow +1s Knockdown (level 8) 22 of 32 1%
Tremor Crush +25% Stun Chance (level 16) 20 of 33 1%
Spinning Strike 40% chance to Seal for 3s (level 12) 19 of 32 2%
Heat Wave Blow 40% chance to Stun for 3s (level 8) 19 of 33 4%
Wave Blow −5s cooldown (level 16) 17 of 32 4%
Rushing Smash −20% Impact-type Resist on the target for 5s (level 8) 12 of 33 6%

The PvE options they give up are the ones that scale with many targets: only 3 of 33 PvP builds take Heat Wave Blow’s “up to +20% damage when more targets hit”, against 84% of other builds, and 9 of 32 take Wave Blow’s −15% PvE Damage Boost debuff, against 77%.

notXeon’s own changes from PvE are the same idea: the Stun duration and chance options on Impactful Crush, Tremor Crush and Wave Blow, and no area or mobile options on Impactful Crush. On Spinning Strike he keeps the PvE choices (ignore Block and Evasion, more damage on fewer targets). On Rushing Smash, ignoring Evasion is the most important option, he says; if you lack Status Effect Chance or skill levels, take −20% Impact-type Resist instead, so your stuns land more often.

Where do Chanters find PvP, and should they macro?

The Abyss is short, so many look for fights in the Spacetime Rift. In a video from 2026-10-11, notXeon notes that Abyss time is limited to 7 hours a week and goes into Spacetime Rifts to fight players from the other faction, which he calls the only real way to get a lot of PvP right now. Sprint Mantra is at its best there, because the fights are on the ground.

Macros: notXeon only macros the left- and right-click melee attacks, which have no crowd control. Stuns, seals and buffs he presses himself, so he decides when each one lands. 24 of the 34 public PvP builds save a macro, so plenty of players do macro more; he calls it a preference. The PvE chain is covered in the Chanter macro guide.

How should a Chanter spend Azphel points?

The public PvP boards take the PvP Damage Boost corners and Status Effect Chance. In the client data, Azphel uses its own point type, unlocks at level 45 and holds 153 nodes for 232 points, all PvP stats, Status Effect Chance and Resist, and a few Max HP and MP nodes. The Daevanion calculator adds up a board for you. The public Chanter boards differ:

Board Azphel points What it takes
kennysurvivor, “Chanter PvP 416 / 146” 146 All four PvP Damage Boost corners, no Damage Tolerance; all 8 Status Effect Chance and 4 Resist
aiesdief (unnamed board) 139 All four PvP Damage Boost corners and two Damage Tolerance; 8 Status Effect Resist and 4 Chance
dimach, “dimach” 232 The full board

Both partial boards put the PvP Damage Boost corners first; they differ on whether Status Effect Chance or Resist comes next. The PvE boards are covered in the Chanter Daevanion guide, and the PvE gear in the Chanter gear guide.

Where does this build come from?

We have not tested this build in-game ourselves. It is compiled from these sources and checked against the skill data:

  • Skill, specialization and Daevanion data: the Global game client data behind questlog.gg’s planners (checked 2026-10-21).
  • notXeon: The ONLY Chanter PvP Skill Guide You’ll Ever Need | AION 2 Global (2026-10-06) and The ONLY Way to Actually Get PvP in AION 2 Right Now (Chanter) (2026-10-11).
  • Public builds and boards: dimach’s “PvP” skill build (the most-liked Chanter PvP build, 5 likes on 2026-10-21) and Daevanion board, and kennysurvivor’s and aiesdief’s Daevanion boards on questlog.gg.
  • Public PvP builds: the 42 public Global Chanter skill builds on questlog.gg named or tagged for PvP, searched on 2026-10-21. Shares count the 34 that slot stigmas and are not PvE builds with a PvP tag.
  • Comparison builds: stigma shares from the 647 builds with stigmas on the bar among the first 900 public Chanter skill builds (2026-10-19), and specialization shares from the 506 non-PvP Chanter builds we could read in full on the same day.

The missing diminishing returns on crowd control, the stun on Defiance’s chain skill, the 45-second Defiance window and the cooldowns notXeon quotes come from the creator, not from the client data.
